 -2 FD billet camshafts PK-FD102A and PK-FD98S, complete with D.27 variable timing sprockets already mounted; camshafts and sprockets are both DLC treated.

The DLC – Diamond-Like Carbon treatment creates an extremely thin, hard, and low-friction layer on the surface of the cams and sprockets, designed to protect mechanical components under the most demanding operating conditions.

The characteristic black-anthracite appearance is the result of a high-performance surface treatment used in the automotive and racing sectors to increase wear resistance and improve the smoothness of parts subjected to high loads.

MANUFACTURING

Before DLC application, each component is carefully prepared and inspected. The coating precisely follows the geometry and profile of the cam without altering its technical and functional characteristics.

The treatment is particularly recommended for tuned engines that operate with:

• high rotation speeds;

• uprated valve springs;

• more aggressive cam profiles;

• high loads on the distribution system;

• sports, racing, or high-performance use.
